Questions about Murfy MCP

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI tools connect to other apps. With Murfy MCP, an AI tool you already use can open your Murfy projects, read and edit your .tex and .bib files, and run LaTeX compiles. You keep writing in Murfy with your co-authors, and hand a task to your AI tool when you want to.

Which AI tools work with Murfy MCP?

Any AI tool that can add a remote MCP server with sign-in, including Antigravity, ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, VS Code.

Which Murfy plans include MCP?

Every Murfy plan can connect, including the free Starter plan.

Will my co-authors see the changes?

Yes. Edits go straight into the document, just as if you typed them, and co-authors see them right away. Ask the tool to show changes before it edits if you want to review them first.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Murfy MCP runs in the cloud. You add the Murfy MCP URL to your AI tool and allow access on the Murfy page that opens.

How do I disconnect a tool?

Go to Settings > Connected apps in Murfy and choose Disconnect next to the tool. It loses access right away, and nothing in your projects changes.
